Match Preview: Liverpool vs Everton (Saturday, 21st October 2023, 12:30)

Liverpool and Everton get the ball rolling in the Merseyside Derby. This is the first game in the Premier League after the international break and it’s set to be a cracker,

The Reds are challenging at the top of the table once again after bolstering their squad in the transfer market once again. Klopp will be keen to put last season’s woes behind him and ensure his team build on their impressive record over Everton.

The Toffees have struggled to score in this season's opening stages of the season but have created plenty of chances. They rank 2nd in the league in terms on non-penalty xG but they will need to be direct to make the most of their limited possession at Anfield.

Everton need to pose a threat from set-pieces and this should mean that the Liverpool defenders are required to win aerial duels. Virgil Van Dijk started one of the Merseyside Derby’s last season and won 4 aerial duels. In the meeting at Anfield, Joe Gomez won 8 aerial duels in Van Dijk’s absence.

👉 Best Bet : Van Dijk to win 4+ aerial duels @ 11/10 Sky Bet

Match Preview: Chelsea vs Arsenal (Saturday, 21st October 2023, 17:30)

There is another local rivalry that needs to be settled on Saturday. Chelsea host an Arsenal side that have their sights set on t the Premier League crown this season.

Chelsea have won their last two league matches and there has been steady improvement since Pochettino took over at the club. However, the Blues are still some way off where they want to be and a win over Arsenal would be a massive boost to their confidence as they aim to challenge for the European places as the season progresses.

The Gunners secured a memorable win over Manchester City in their last match and it has blown the race to lead the league wide open. Just three points separate the top four and Arteta won’t want to see his side give up this ground this weekend.

This should be an intriguing midfield battle and Enzo Fernandez is crucial for Chelsea in that area of the field. The Argentine has the quality to have an impact on any match with his wide range of abilities. Fernandez isn’t afraid to get involved and he has been frequently fouled this season. Enzo is averaging 1 foul per 90 minutes but he has been fouled 1.7 times. There could be some internal battles within this match and we can get odds of 6/4 for him to be fouled on Sky Bet.

Fernandez was fouled once at the Emirates last season before being substituted in the 71st minute but his side should pose more of a threat a home.

👉 Best Bet: Fernandez to win 2+ fouls @ 6/4 Sky Bet

Match Preview: Aston Villa vs West Ham (Sunday, 22nd October 2023, 16:30)

Sunday’s Premier League match pits two sides that have made strong starts against each other. Aston Villa have the opportunity to finish the weekend in the top four. They’ve won all three of their home matches so far this season; scoring a glut of goals in the process. However, Villa have a very poor record against the Hammers. They are without a win in their last 10 meetings with West Ham.

David Moyes’ side are two points behind Villa and have started this campaign in a much better fashion than the last. They will be hoping to earn their European place by their league position this time around.

Our betting angle for this one is West Ham offsides. They were caught offside 6 times the last time they faced Aston Villa. Unai Emery’s preference for playing an extremely high line since he took the job at Villa Park has made opposition offsides a go-to bet and Moyes’ side are averaging the 5th most offsides in the league so far this season.

Since Emery came in, Villa’s opponents in the Premier League are averaging 4.09 offsides per game. We can bet over 3.5 offsides for West Ham on Unibet.

👉 Best Bet: Over 3.5 total offsides by West Ham @ 11/8 Unibet

Match Preview: Marine vs Lancaster (Saturday, 21st October 2023, 15:00)

Our Expert: @Pete_Tscherewik

My bet for this match is Marine to win. Marine are one of the in-form teams in the division, having gone 12 games unbeaten prior to a midweek loss against Macclesfield. They have accumulated 19 points from their opening 10 matches and currently sit 5th in the table.

Marine can call upon striker Finlay Sinclair-Smith, who has been their main threat up front this season. Playing at home, Marine always attract a vocal crowd which will spur them on to get back to winning ways here after the Macclesfield result.

With 10 wins from 12 prior to that loss, Marine have shown they have the quality to beat sides at this level. They will be disappointed with the midweek defeat and will want to respond with a win over Lancaster City on Saturday. I'm backing Marine to have too much firepower and motivation to come away with the three points.

👉 Best Bet: Marine to win @ 10/11 Bet 365
