Match Preview: Manchester City vs Arsenal (Sunday, 6th August 2023, 16:00)
Our Expert: @RobTheBookiesFC
The much-anticipated Community Shield opener at Wembley will feature an enthralling clash between the reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City, and the runners-up, Arsenal.
Among the key players to watch is Ben White, who faces the challenging responsibility of containing Jack Grealish, an instrumental figure in Manchester City's recent success. Notably, Grealish has become a standout performer for his team, leading the Premier League as the most fouled player, drawing an impressive 3.42 fouls per game last season. In their previous encounter, Ben White struggled to contain Grealish, conceding three fouls during the match. As this fixture approaches, we are hoping to see more of the same in the key battle between White and Grealish.

Match Preview: Celtic vs Ross County (Saturday, 5th August 2023, 12:30)
Our Expert: @TipsterJWins
Celtic begin their defence of the Scottish Premiership Saturday lunchtime, as they welcome Ross County to Celtic Park. The hosts are 1/10 favourites for this clash, with the away side sitting at 20/1 with most firms.
Opening day fixtures do not get tougher than this for County, as Celtic collected 53 points from 57 last season on home soil, winning 17 and drawing just the 2. Ross county managed to avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth as they defeated promotion hopefuls Partick Thistle on penalties to survive another season in the top flight.
To bolster the 1/10 on offer of the hosts, I am going to back the away side to have less than 3 corners using Bet 365's bet builder, giving us a 4/5 shot. Corners are hard to come by for any team travelling to Celtic Park and that reflects in the last 10 home games, with sides averaging 1.4 corners per game. On Paper, much better sides than County have struggled to muster much at the Champions, and despite new management for the hosts, this 4/5 bet builder should go close Saturday lunchtime.
👉 Best Bet: Celtic to win and Ross County under 3 corners
Match Preview: Spartak Pleven vs Dobrudzha 1919 Dobrich (Saturday, 5th August 2023, 16:00)
Our Expert: @Mgsbets
Dobrudzha are only 1 of 3 teams to remain undefeated during the start of the season for the Bulgarian second division, managing 2 wins and a draw. During this period, they convincingly beat newly promoted Chernomorets Balchik, drew to Litex who finished mid table last season and are generally a solid side at home and managed to beat Ludogorets B, who finished 4th last season. In each of the games they've won, they have managed to lead at the end of the 1st half.
I'm backing this to happen again against a Spartak Pleven side who are the only team to lose all 3 of their opening games in this division. They finished last season in 11th place and were only 4 points outside of the relegation zone. So far this season they’ve come up against Maritsa, who finished 7th last season, and Dunav who finished 6th and most recently top of the table Septemvri. In all 3 of these games, they were also losing at half time.
Dobrudzha have started off the season well and will be looking to keep this form going in a bid to gain promotion to the top division. Against this level of opposition they should be winning comfortably.

Match Preview: Derby County vs Wigan Athletic (Saturday, 5th August 2023, 15:00)
Our Expert: @Pete_Tscherewik
Derby host Wigan Athletic at Pride Park for the Rams’ League One curtain raiser on Saturday afternoon. Paul Warne’s side will be looking to lay down an early marker in what’ll be their second season at this level.
The hosts have been busy this summer in the transfer market, signing seven in total with many of those additions expected to play a part in the sides’ starting eleven.
Wigan on the other hand have had quite the polar opposite in the off-season - a points deduction, change of ownership and a whole lot of change in personnel; more than 20 all in all.
Derby are the front-running favourites with the bookmakers at 4/1 to go on and lift the title come the end of the 2023/24 and will be looking to get off to a winning start here.
Wigan haven’t won at Derby in nine years and given the changes in personnel from the visitors and levels of uncertainty that’s been surrounding the club, it’s hard not to look past the hosts for a convincing win in this one.

Match Preview: Sunderland vs Ipswich (Sunday, 6th August 2023, 17:00)
Our Expert: @TorresBetsHA
Connor ended top goalscorer of League one with 26 goals in 45 games, pretty impressive for someone whose not playing at striker but just behind him. It reminds me the season of Chuba Akpom for Boro. Last year, Sunderland was not comfortable playing at home. They conceded 33 goals in 23 goals. Hoping for Ipswich to bag one or two. I think the fair odd should be @ 3 for Connor Chaplin to score.

Match Preview: Middlesbrough vs Millwall (Saturday, 5th August 2023, 15:00)
Our Expert: @scottthorn21
Middlesbrough made it to the playoffs last season but they will be hoping to go one step further and earn promotion in the upcoming campaign. They were 21st in the league and threatened with relegation when Michael Carrick too charge last season. They enjoyed a meteoric rise that saw them compete for 2nd place and earn many plaudits on the way.
Millwall finished 8th last season but they only managed to win eight games on the road throughout the whole campaign.
Boro are unbeaten against Millwall in their last six meetings at the Riverside Stadium. Chuba Akpom has missed pre-season and will be side-lined for their opener here but I’m backing them to get the job done.
Under Carrick, Boro won 10 of their 15 home league games last season and lost just two. Over this period they averaged 2,4 goasl per game and conceded just 0.73.

Fight Preview: Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz (Sunday, 6th August 2023, 04:00)
Our Expert: @peteryan04
Jake Paul and Nate Diaz will go toe to toe in Dallas, Texas, this weekend. It's the first time Paul will enter a boxing ring since his first defeat to Tommy Fury. The problem child will be taking on UFC veteran Nate Diaz. It will be an intriguing, unpredictable clash, which means that they could be opportunities to hit on some bets.
Since his arrival on the scene, Paul has taken the boxing world by storm. With a professional record of 6-1, Paul has proven to have the ability within the ropes. However, it is essential to note that he has yet to fight many high-level boxers. As previously stated, his most recent loss came against Fury, the first professional boxer Paul had faced. Before the Fury bout, Paul's opponents have mostly been former UFC fighters. He has beaten the likes of Tyrone Woodley, Ben Askren and Anderson Silva. Paul could put his people’s lights out and usually knocks out his opponents with one big shot. Paul will be looking for a statement win to prove the Fury result was a one-off.
Diaz is a legend in combat sports. Known for being an extremely entertaining fighter, Stockton's own has fought many great fighters during his time in the UFC. His most notable victory is submitting Conor McGregor in their first meeting. Diaz is coming off a win against Tony Ferguson, his last fight in the UFC. Diaz has excellent hands and has shown an ability to really damage his opponent with boxing over his career. Yet Diaz's durability is the most vital part of his game. It could pose a problem for Paul as Diaz will be in his face and will not tire as the rounds tick by. Diaz will be a tough test for Paul, and he will look to get his hand raised against the 26-year-old.
Paul goes into the fight as a 2/9 favourite, and Diaz is a 7/2 underdog. As previously stated, Diaz is known for his endurance, which means that if there were knockouts, it would likely be in the early rounds as Diaz wouldn't be able to settle into the fight. Throughout his career, Diaz has only lost once by knockout, which means the most likely method for a Paul victory is by the decision because he has better conventional boxing skills than Diaz and more experience.
👉 Best Bet: Jake Paul to win @ 1.29 Sky Bet
Value Bet: Jake Paul to win by decision - 4.00 Sky Bet
