Match Preview: Barcelona vs Sevilla (Sunday, 5 February 2023, 20:00)
Our Expert: James (Macca) (@MaccasValueBets)
Barcelona enter the match as the clear 1.3 favourites in the 1x2 market to secure a win. Based on similar 1x2 game data, historically, in their last 10 home games, the Catalan giants have not received the most cards in any of these fixtures. In fact, 7 out of those 10 games saw the away team receive more cards, with an average of 3.3 cards per game.
In the last five meetings between these sides, Sevilla are averaging 3.6 cards per game. Barcelona are averaging 2.8 cards in these matches.
📉It's worth noting that other top UK bookmakers, including Bet365, have priced this bet at 1.50, making VBet's offering at 1.76 a very nice +EV bet.
👉 Best Bet: Sevilla Most Cards @ 1.75 (VBet)
Match Preview: Mallorca vs Real Madrid (Sunday, 5 February 2023, 13:00)
Our Expert: James (Macca) (@MaccasValueBets)
The meeting between Real Madrid and Mallorca earlier this season saw eight yellow cards awarded. Mallorca’s home matches this season are averaging 7.11 yellow cards per game. Madrid’s away matches are seeing an average of 3.60 yellow cards per game. Madrid’s most recent visit to this ground finished with six yellow cards.
Mallorca are averaging 3.44 cards per game when playing at home in the league. They picked up five of the yellow cards in this season’s other meeting.
Alejandro Hernandez is at the whistle for this one. He distributes an average of 5.63 yellow cards per game in LaLiga this season. He has also awarded six cards or more in the three Mallorca games he has officiated since 2019. His last five Madrid matches are averaging 5.6 yellows per game.
William Hill are offering 2.50 for over three cards for Mallorca in the match. This is significantly bigger than the 2.00 on Bet 365 and the 1.93 on Unibet and one again I believe to be a valuable price. It also aligns with my card model which is another positive factor as that achieved 25% ROI over 1000+ Bets.
👉 Best Bet: Mallorca Over 3.5 Cards @ 2.5 (William Hill)
Match Preview: Cambuur vs Ajax (Sunday, 5 February 2023, 11:15)
Our Expert: MFT (@MEGAFOOTYTIPS)
Ajax finally knows what winning feels like again after a streak of six draws and one loss in the Eredivise. With Owen Wijndal on the left, Tadic playing as a striker, and Kudus back in the team, they looked better and defeated Excelsior with a comfortable score of 1-4 in Rotterdam.
Ajax played aggressively, but this also opened up a lot of space for Excelsior, who had several fantastic chances and even hit the post. Excelsior had some fantastic chances and forced Rulli into making some crucial saves.
On the other hand, Cambuur are currently 17th in the league and things are not looking good. Despite winning against FC Groningen last week, they suffered a painful loss to Fortuna Sittard this week and lost one of their best players, Mees Hoedemakers, who may not be fit enough to play against Ajax.
Ajax have better quality in every position, but they can also be weak in defence at times, which could lead to a score similar to 1-3 or 1-4 in Leeuwarden this week.
👉 Best Bet: Over 3 Asian Goals @ 1.84 (B365)
Match Preview: Strasbourg vs Montpellier (Sunday, 5 February 2023, 14:00)
Our Expert: Tom Winch (@WinchySFP)
Strasbourg and goals have been a familiar occurrence for a lengthy amount of time now. Mathieu Le Scornet’s side have scored in 17/21 matches this campaign but clean sheets are hard to come by. The side from Eastern France have kept just a single shutout this term which came way back in September.
Montpellier’s away trips have averaged four goals per 90 over a 10 game period. They’ve scored in eight of those matches, only Lens and Rennes kept them out however those clubs have the best home records in the division.
Since the return, this selection has banked in all six matches for Strasbourg and 13 of the last 14. Four of Montpellier’s six top flight games since the break have seen three or more goals scored. The reverse fixture ended 2-1 in favour of Montpellier.
With Strasbourg’s matches seeing plenty of goals at either end and Montpellier’s impressive goals per game average, I can see another entertaining affair here.
👉 Over 2.5 Goals @ 2.010 (Bet 365)
Match Preview: Feyernoord vs PSV (Sunday, 5 February 2023, 13:30)
Our Expert: @MonsterHunch
It’s top vs third at what will be a rocking ‘De Kuip’ this Sunday. Feyernoord haven’t won Eredivise since the 16/17 campaign but whilst Ajax are floundering in 4th spot after sacking Manager Alfred Schreuder last week, they will feel they can run real close this season along with Sundays opponents, PSV.
PSV sit 4 points behind the team from Rotterdam and will be hoping to be the first away team to win @ De Kuip in the league since Twente way back in May.
Sundays affair isn’t the biggest rivalry in Holland (Feyernoords clashes with Ajax tend to be the most intense games at De Kuip) but with a real chance that the title could land away from Amsterdam this season, both teams will surely be going for it in this clash of 2 of the teams in Hollands ‘big three’.
Hollands top ref (ex police officer) Danny Makielle is in charge of what is bound to be a feisty affair. He can be a quite lenient referee in terms of cards but usually does try to stamp his authority down in the bigger games (He showed 5 yellows in the visitors trip to Ajax back in November)
👉 Best Bets:
•2+ cards each with a first half card @ 2.6
•a first half card each @ 3.10
Both bets on William Hill.
Match Preview: Salernitana vs Juventus (Tuesday, 7 February 2023, 19:45)
Our Expert: Christian (@Kjaer_Bet)
Salernitana will be playing at home against Juventus.
Juventus have been quite the disappointment this season. This is mostly due to their away record, where they haven't really been successful. Only 6 goals in 9 away matches for them this season, which is one of the main reasons for this bet.
Salerntina recently played home against Napoli, whom has been farming goals this season, and even in that match, the home side managed to to keep it below 2.5 goals.
👉 Best Bet: Under 2.5 Goals @1.99 (B365)
Match Preview: Inter vs AC Milan (Sunday, 5 February 2023, 19:45)
Our Expert: Scott Thornton (@ScottyThorn21)
Get ready for a feisty encounter as Inter Milan host AC Milan in a crucial match for both teams. The battle for a spot in the Champions League is heating up, with just three points separating 6th place from 2nd in Serie A.
Inter, who have only lost once since the World Cup and have won four of their last five competitive matches, are in second place, 13 points behind the league leaders. On the other hand, AC Milan have struggled, losing their last three matches and conceding 12 goals in the process.
Despite their recent struggles, this match is expected to be hard-fought and should see a lot of yellow cards being shown. Milan will be out for revenge after they were thumped 3-0 by their local rivals earlier this month in the Italian Super Cup.
Over 55 booking points has landed in the last two league meetings between the Milan sides. Four of the last six have seen six cards or more. AC Milan’s last match against Sassuolo saw a whopping 11 yellow cards and I expect that cards trend to continue today.
👉 Best Bet: Over 55 Booking Points @ 1.71 (Vbet)
