Match Preview: Argentina v Australia (Saturday, 03 Dec 2022, 19:00)

Graham Arnold’s side will have to dig deep to go through against Argentina. The Socceroos’ would have snapped your hand off if you’d offered them a place in the round of 16 at the start of the tournament. They have great squad unity and work hard when out of possession. Expect the Aussies to try and stifle the Argentines by pressing their creative players as they attempt to make the final incisive ball. This should help with the number of throw sin the match.
Australia’s matches at the World Cup have seen a lot of throws. Their crucial match with Denmark saw a whopping 69 throws in the match. Their second match against Tunisia saw 62 throws and their opener versus France saw 38 throws. Australia’s matches in 2022 are averaging 43.25 throws per game.
Argentina’s World Cup matches have averaged fewer. There was just 34 throws in their last game against Poland. The Poles were reluctant to put any pressure on the ball so the throws dried up after a frantic start. Don’t expect Australia to be as passive as Poland were. Argentina’s other World Cup matches have seen 40 and 37 throws.
The magnitude of the occasion and Australia’s style of play should mean we see a lot of throws on Saturday.

Match Preview: France v Poland (Sunday, 03 Dec 2022, 15:00)
Our Expert: James (Macca) (@Maccasvaluebets)
It was not unusual to see France make several substitutions for their last game in the group stages due to their terrible luck with injuries both before and during this World Cup.
However, because Tunisia beat them 1-0, the players scarcely had a chance to build a case for a starting position. Didier Deschamps will most likely start with the same lineup that defeated Denmark.
Poland didn't play especially well throughout their group games at any point. They weren't expected to beat Argentina, however their performance throughout was poor. They looked non existent in attack and lacked creativity in midfield.
Poland are expected to field a very similar starting XI as they lack squad depth.
As many had predicted, France breezed through Group D comfortably. After beating Australia in their opening match, they really showed their class against Denmark with a notable display from Mbappe who bagged both goals.
I've spoke with another tipster who is very profitable in the 1X2/AH markets (@Riain_J) and we think France have a solid chance of winning by 2 or more against Poland. More than the implied probability of 50% at least.
